Free tours will be held at the Cosmonautics and Aviation Center at VDNKh

From 15 to 19 December 2021, the Cosmonautics and Aviation Center at VDNKh will host excursions “Satellites: Earth from Space”, “People and Space”, “Peace in the Universe”, as well as lectures “Art and Idea of ​​Space in the Age of Ancient Civilizations “”, “Isolation experiments” Moon “and” Sirius “- characteristics of management, differences, own feelings and perspectives”, “Prospects for the colonization of Mars from a biomedical point of view”. Participation in all activities is free, by prior registration. This was reported by the exhibition’s press service.

On December 15 at At 13:00, 15:00 and 17:00, visitors to the Cosmonautics and Aviation Center will enjoy free tours Satellites: Earth from Space, timed to coincide with the day of the Russian Air Force radio engineering troops. Participants will learn how satellite technology is used in military matters, how communications with spacecraft and orbital stations are provided and much more. In the virtual Mission Control Center, guests will be able to see the orbits of various spacecraft.

On December 17 at At 1 pm, 3 pm and 5 pm, the center will host free “People and Space” themed tours dedicated to the day of the Russian Federation’s strategic missile forces. Guests will see many models of launch vehicles, ships and satellites, rocket engines and automatic interplanetary stations, each of which in different years was a real breakthrough in the history of practical astronautics.

The guides will talk about amazing people who have never been off Earth, but who did everything to make spaceflight possible for others. Participants will get acquainted with the legendary developments of Sergei Korolev, Valentin Glushko, Vladimir Barmin, Vladimir Chelomey, Nikolai Pilyugin, Mikhail Reshetnev and other designers, see their personal belongings and learn interesting facts from designers’ lives that influenced their professional activities.

On December 19 at 13:00, 15:00 and 17:00, the Center “Cosmonautics and Aviation” invites you to free tours “Peace in the Universe”, dedicated to the International Day of Human Solidarity. Visitors will follow the historical path for the development of innovation – from the ideas of the conquest of the interplanetary space by two superpowers (the Soviet Union and the United States) to the ideas of uniting all countries to achieve goals for the benefit of all mankind.

On December 18 at 16:00, everyone is invited to a free lecture on “The Art and Idea of ​​Space in the Age of Ancient Civilizations”.

On December 18 at 18:00, the center will host a free lecture “Isolation experiment” Luna “and” Sirius “- features of behavior, differences, own feelings and perspectives.”

On December 19, at 16:00, visitors to the Cosmonautics and Aviation Center will enjoy a free lecture entitled “Prospects for the colonization of Mars from a biomedical view”.

Age limits for all excursions and lectures – 12+.

Registration means free admission to activities, including entrance tickets to the Cosmonautics and Aviation Center. If registration is not available, all possible places are booked. If other guests refuse to attend the event, registration will be available again. Masks are required to enter the center.
