The video for the song Lipsi Ha by the blogs Instasamka and Oleg Moneyken turned out to be colorful, imaginative and filled with references to modern pop culture, art and film. What the rap artist borrowed from Doja Cat, Cardi B. and Lizzo and was in the video the image “Creation of Adam” and images from the series “Breaking Bad” is quoted, the author of Medialeaks found out.
Russian blogger and rapper Instasamka (Daria Zoteeva) released a video for the song Lipsi Ha. According to the plot of the video, the guy (producer Oleg Moneyken) tries unsuccessfully to make money on the stock market for a better life for himself and his girlfriend (Instasamka). Then he finds himself in a dream in a mysterious place where he gets the key to wealth – Lipsi Ha.
The colorful clip is filled with references to pop culture, film and painting.
Remiss # 1. Antique entourage as in the clips of Cardi B., Lizzo and Doja Cat
When Oleg Moneken falls asleep, he enters the kingdom of Instasamka. An eccentric girl’s possessions resemble Mount Olympus, where the ancient Greek gods lived. Statues and temples are constantly flashing in the frame, creating an abstract image of the ancient world – just like in the You Right video of Doja Cat and The Weeknd.
The same entourage reigns in the Rumors video of the American rap artists Lizzo and Cardi B., with whom Instasamka is often compared. In the video, the musicians recreate the image of the ancient Greek mice from the Disney series Hercules. They copy their clothes and dances from the side views in the picture.
Referral # 2. Giant woman as in Kiss Me More and You Right by Doja Cat
One of the most memorable images in the video is the Insta woman in the role of a giant woman. The blogger borrowed this idea from the Kiss Me More video from Doja Cat and SZA. According to the plot of the video, the astronaut is on an alien planet and sees a giant woman with fuchsia skin.
The giant Instance eats Oleg Moneken, who after this test is transferred to another dimension. Similarly, the astronaut from the Doja Cat video disappears into the mouth of a huge statue of a woman and ends up at home.
The giant’s character also appears in another Doja Cat video, You Right. In one of the frames, the singer flies through outer space to the singer The Weeknd’s huge head. There is a very similar section in the clip of Instasamka.
Referral # 3. “The Creation of Oleg Moneken” Instasamka, oil on canvas, 2022.
References to Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam can be found not only in the movie Interstellar and Nokia’s screensaver, but also in the Lipsi Ha video. Oleg Moneken and Instasamka stretched out their hands to each other and almost copied the canvas of the Renaissance. Guess who acted as the Creator?
Referral # 4. The river queen escaped from The Tale of the Ring
The video shows Instasamka in a suit with natural motifs in patterns. On the singer’s head is a wreath similar to the decoration worn by the elf-wife Galadriel in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Referral # 5. The aesthetics of the body as in the movie “Perfumes”
The aesthetic composition of moving and intertwined female bodies in Lipsi Has’s video is reminiscent of the famous scene from Tom Tykwer’s film Perfume based on Patrick Suskind’s novel. Jean-Baptiste Grenouille spreads its perfect scent in the crowd, which awakens an ancient instinct in humans, and an orgy begins.
Reference # 6. Meme from the series “Breaking Bad”
At the end of the clip, Instasamka and Oleg Moneken repeated the memes from the 10th episode of the fifth season of the cult TV series Breaking Bad. The heroes of the video spread freely on a huge pile of money just like Fat Hewell and his accomplice.
The clip by Instasamka for the provocative track Lipsi Ha hides a bunch of references to different eras, art and creativity of popular artists. Maybe there are even more Easter eggs in the video, which the creators of the video themselves may not be aware of.
Earlier, Medialeaks reported which references are hidden in the special episode of the YouTube series “Inside Lapenko” – from Agatha Christie to Quentin Tarantino.
