Christmas time is around the corner and it is time to whip up tasty treats like these fabulous Panettone and Non plus ultra. This diet indulgence recipe is sure to delight your family and friends.
Ingredients: - 500 g of white flour - 1 sachet of dehydrated yeast - 125 g of butter - 25 g of sugar - 25 g of honey - ¼ glass of warm water - 3 egg yolks - ½ teaspoon of salt - ¼ glass of rum - 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract - 150 g of raisins and sultanas - Zest of 1 lemon - 60 g of icing sugar - ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
Instructions: 1. Place the flour in a bowl and then place the dehydrated yeast, sugar, salt and butter on one side. 2. In a separate bowl, mix together the warm water, honey, egg yolks, rum, and vanilla extract. Pour the liquid into the dry ingredients, stirring to combine and help break up the butter. 3. Kneed the dough until it is smooth and elastic, then cover and let rise, in a warm place, for 1 hour. 4. Place the dough in a greased cake pan and let sit for another 30 minutes, covered. 5. Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). 6. Top with the raisins and sultanas, lemon zest and sprinkle with the icing sugar mixed with the cinnamon. 7. Bake for about 40 minutes. 8. Let cool and enjoy!
Ingredients: - 300g flour - 250g butter - 150g sugar - 3 egg yolks - 1 teaspoon of salt - 2 tablespoons milk - 80g marzipan - Another 50g marzipan for decoration - Zest of ½ lemon - ½ teaspoon ground cloves - A pinch of grated nutmeg - Powdered sugar for garnishing
Instructions: 1. In a bowl add the butter, sugar, salt, milk and eggs and mix until the ingredients are nicely combined. 2. Add the flour and mix until the dough is homogeneous, knead a few times until the dough is nice and smooth. 3. Refrigerate the dough for half an hour. 4. Preheat the oven to 160 ºC (320 ºF). 5. Roll out the dough and place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. 6. Knead the marzipan and spread it over the top layer of the dough. 7. Combine a tablespoon of sugar with the lemon zest, cloves and nutmeg until a nice powder is formed. 8. Sprinkle the powder over the marzipan. 9. From the remaining dough, make rolls and place them vertically on top of the sugar mix. 10. Bake for 20 minutes. 11. Sprinkle the top with more sugar and add some marzipan decorations. 12. Let cool and enjoy!
